About Me, the Writer

My name is Amaya Coburn, I'm a high school student with a passion for literature among other things. Writing, fictional and non-fictional, has always been an interest of mine. Placing words together to create something that can have a great impact, has always amazed me and I find great enjoyment in it. I love words, intricate and elaborate words that can create so much expression and detail. Writing stories has been a fun pass-the-time activity for me for years now, I also enjoy using a tangle of advanced words and writing techniques to make a range of informative pieces such as persuasive, comparative, opinionated and factual articles and essays. Of course writing essays is an unusual hobby for a most young people but I think I just fell in love with the process of it all. My favourite author is Sarah J. Maas, I absolutely adore her series 'Throne of Glass' and 'A Court of Throne and Roses', I gained most of my expressive writing techniques and vocabulary from reading her novels. Growing up I was told that I had a way with words and I started to take pride in that. My goals and aspirations for the future include travelling, studying journalism in university and also pursuing my neighboring interests in music: singing, guitar, songwriting, and art: visual art and design... maybe tattoo artistry...? Many things fascinate me and I see that as a blessing, more things to write about!
